In today's yogapeople community portrait we introduce you to Marina, a FREE SPIRIT Yogi through and through! She has been a regular at our studio 1-2 times a week for 1.5 years and loves the freedom and flexibility that our FREE SPIRIT classes offer.
From Bremen to Switzerland - and straight to yogapeople
10 years ago, Marina came to Winterthur from Bremen to earn money for her master's degree. But Switzerland has captivated her and so she stayed. In her free time she enjoys the city, parties, travelling, and of course yoga!
Yoga - Movement with joy
Marina started yoga to clear her head and get more movement into her life. And lo and behold: Yoga is the only movement practice that she really enjoys and that she has kept up for a longer period of time.
Regularity, fun & community
Yoga has definitely influenced Marina's life: It has brought her regularity and fun in movement. But above all, she also appreciates the great community at yogapeople.
Funny moments & mishaps
Like every yogi, Marina has also experienced funny and less funny moments on the mat. Her highlights include "Twerking in Frogpose", while her low point was definitely getting lumbago while doing yoga at home.
Different from the others
Marina has tried out a few yoga studios before, but she has stayed with yogapeople. What does she appreciate here in particular? The atmosphere! There is laughter, hugging, and even the occasional sex joke during the forward folds. Brunching together and just having fun - that's her yogapeople!
